    •              HEART GIVES TO HEART

Upon being named a Cardinal in the Catholic Church, John Henry Newman's adopted Cor ad Cor Loquitor (Heart speaks to Heart) as his motto.  For St. Newman, speaking heart to heart must be the basic conversation with God in prayer and in speaking and listening in our conscience.  Because we are images of God, we also are called to speak Heart to Heart to each other in how we love and learn.

At The Newman Idea we believe this is what we try to do - speak Heart to Heart with students and all those who seek to learn through
IKON® courses.  This is our core mission.  But in the last two years we know that that our ability to speak Heart to Heart, is only made possible because people give to our mission from their hearts: Cor ad Cor Donatur: Heart gives to Heart.  When you give from your heart, we are able to speak to students through ours.

At left: Melissa Villalobos who received a miraculous healing after praying to John Henry Newman, is lighting a candle at a canonization prayer service.
